GSL Tournaments is excited to announce the 2018 Youth and High School Tournament Schedule!
Our goal here at GSL Tournaments is here to provide competitive youth and high school baseball tournaments around the Pacific Northwest.

What is new in 2018:
GSL Tournaments will offer 30+ events this season running from the end of January until the end of August. We have completely redesigned our website in an easy to find layout. Registration for tournaments has become extremely easier as well with simple payment options. It is our goal for 2018 to provide more of a event feel with our tournaments including tournament vendors such as Hit Trax, sponsors, and themed tournaments.

High School Fields: The 2018 season for High School Tournaments will primarily use the same fields. Bellarmine Prep High School, the University of Puget Sound, and two turf fields with Federal Way High School and Curtis High School. Depending on the number of teams per tournament we will have overflow fields on retainer. We were working on deals with other colleges in order to use their facilities as well!

GSL Tournaments, Seattle Elite and West Coast Premier are all working together to create a uniform style of rules and regulations to benefit players, coaches, and umpires. Were working towards having the same run rules, time limits, bat rules, and refund policies. This will create less stress for coaches needing to follow different rule books as well as umpires.

Bat Rules:
For our youth tournaments, we have implemented the new standard in youth bats. All 9U – 13U games will be played with USA Bat Standards approved bats. We are trying to create a more realistic style of play to prepare our youth players for the next level. We want to improve the overall experience for all involved, the coaches, players, and families.

Indoor Tournaments: During the months of January and February, we are continuing our tradition of running Indoor tournaments at the NW Sports Hub in Centralia, WA. This is a great opportunity for 9U-12U teams to get live reps during the winter months leading up to their spring season.

Charity Event Series: We have partnered with 4 different charities to raise awareness and funds to help support worthy causes. We will run a Breast Cancer Awareness Tournament, Domestic Violence Awareness Tournament, Cam Christian Memorial Tournament, Austin Everett Foundation Tournament, and the Carson Styron Memorial Tournament.

GSL College Showcase: One of our most popular events is our 18U College Showcase Tournament. This is a 6 day tournament with team traveling all over the west coast in an opportunity to play in front of a large amount of college scouts. Last year over 40 schools were in attendance ranging from Oregon State University, Washington State University, Hawaii Pacific, George Fox University, Jamestown College, and Edmonds Community College. This is a great opportunity for players to showcase their skills in front of potential schools to continue their playing careers.

GSL Tournaments will be running University of Portland and Concordia University Team Camp Tournaments as a new set of events at two of the nicest collegiate fields on the West Coast. Great atmosphere, exposure and location for these events. Look for the registration link soon.

What are the differences in the AAA and Majors Divisions?
GSL Tournaments provides teams with two options for their desired competition level. The point of youth baseball isn't to play blowout games against the wrong competition level. We want teams and players to constantly be challenged in order to help them grow within the game of baseball. The AAA Division is designed for teams who do not have as much depth and whose players need to focus more on development and getting reps. Players develop at a different rate and this allows them to still play competitive baseball while learning the game and having a positive experience. The Majors Division is for teams that have more depth and whose players are further along in their physical development.
