Umpire Camp and individual training

Postby WWBUA » Sat Oct 28, 2017 10:48 am

Western Washington Baseball Umpires (WWBUA) will be hosting a two man umpire camp in February 2018. We will have indoor and outdoor facilities.

Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. Cage work, field work, game situations.

Instructors are all Graduates of Professional Umpires Schools and former Minor league umpires and many current college umpires. If you want to improve your umpiring skills without having to travel out of state, pay for hotel and car rentals, this is the camp for you.

Open to all ages. Once you graduate from this camp you will be given the opportunity to prepare for the WIAA/WOA baseball test to qualify as a High School baseball umpire.

Additionally, individual training is available to help umpires with specific issues. Are you in the slot? Are you in "kill" zone? How is your head height? Are you heel toe/heel toe? Are your square? These are just some of the issues we can address to help you become the umpire your want to be.

Please call 253-468-5307 and speak to Mark Heavey with any questions.
